QR Code Scanner & Generator ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is designed to provide QR code and barcode scanning, generation, history, bookmarking, and related utility features while respecting your privacy.

1. Information We Access
Camera
The App requests access to your device camera solely to provide live QR code and barcode scanning functionality.
Camera frames are processed locally on your device whenever technically feasible. We do not upload camera images or live camera frames to our servers by default.
Camera access is requested only when you use a feature that requires it.
Photos and Images
The App may allow you to select an existing image from your device in order to scan a QR code or barcode from that image.
Image access is used only for the requested scanning operation. The App uses the most privacy-preserving Android image-selection mechanism available for supported Android versions.
Scan History and Bookmarks
The App may store scan results locally on your device, including:
Decoded scan value
Result type
Displayed result information
Barcode or QR format
Date and time of the scan
Bookmark status
Scan source, such as camera, gallery, or generated code
This information is stored locally by default and does not require you to create an account.
Clipboard
When you choose to copy a scan result, the App may place the selected result into your device clipboard. This occurs only as a result of your action.
2. Network and Internet Use
Core scanning functionality is designed to work without an internet connection.
The App may use an internet connection when you explicitly request a network-dependent feature, such as:
Searching for scanned text online
Searching for a product or ISBN
Retrieving product information from an external service
Opening a website or other external online content
The App does not intentionally transmit scan contents to remote services unless required for a user-requested feature or clearly disclosed functionality.
External services may have their own privacy policies and terms. When you choose to use an external service, your information may be processed according to that service's policies.
3. How We Use Information
Information accessed or stored by the App is used to provide and improve App functionality, including:
Scanning QR codes and barcodes
Interpreting scan results
Generating QR codes and barcodes
Saving and displaying scan history
Managing bookmarks
Copying and sharing results
Performing user-requested online searches or product lookups
We do not use your scan contents for purposes unrelated to providing the App's functionality.

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not require you to create an account to use the App's core functionality.
We do not upload camera images or camera frames by default.
We do not intentionally share your scan history or saved bookmarks with third parties unless:
You explicitly choose to share content using Android's sharing functionality; or
A network-dependent feature you request requires information to be sent to an external service.
When you use Android's Sharesheet or another external application, that application's privacy practices apply to information you choose to share.
5. Local Storage and Data Control
Scan history and bookmarks are stored locally on your device by default.
You can delete individual history records or clear your local scan history using the App's available controls.
Deleting the App may also remove locally stored App data according to Android's device behavior and your device settings.
6. Permissions
The App follows a minimum-permission approach.
The main permissions or access mechanisms used by the App may include:
Camera: Required for live QR/barcode scanning.
Photo/image access: Used when you choose to scan an existing image.
Internet: Used only for network-dependent features such as online search or product lookup.
The App does not intentionally request unrelated permissions for core functionality.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App.
The App is designed to:
Process scanning locally where technically feasible

The App is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
